The front of our minds might be full of thoughts of tomorrow’s turkey and pumpkin pie, but the next section is possibly spinning with Black Friday deals. So many deals at so many stores how can anyone possibly keep it all straight? And stores all open at different times, some at 8:00 p.m., some not until midnight. Let us help equip you to keep it all straight.
Assuming you already have the list of who you’re buying for and what they might enjoy, we’ll start with “What’s on Sale?” This site seems to have all that information. It lists the Black Friday ads for various stores and websites. There is also a FAQ section for any Black Friday novice. That section shares information about Black Friday, such as this part of the answer to “What is Black Friday?” ” Almost all stores come out with Doorbuster Sales with early bird special to attract consumers to their stores. People stand in line hours before store is opened, to grab the bargain of the year.”
Once you have scanned all the info and are ready to make some shopping strategies, you may want to download an app or apps for you iOS or Android phone. Dealnews offers a Black Friday app that allows users to do the following:
* Create Shopping List – Save your favorite ads to your shopping list for later access
* Access Your Shopping List at dealnews.com – Because buying or viewing stuff on a phone can still suck sometimes, the Black Friday ads you saved in the app can be accessed at dealnews.com, at a time or place that is more convenient.
* Price Comparison – For each Black Friday ad we list, you can check for better deals on comparable products from other retailers
* New Store Alerts – Stay up-to-date with the latest Black Friday ads by getting push notifications every time we start posting ads from your favorite stores
* Share Your Favorite Ads – Share ads with friends and family directly from the app via Facebook, Twitter and email
CIO’s site lists 3 other apps that seem useful for Black Friday shopping.
There is a different type of app that those listed that you might find beneficial for hardcore shopping. Charmin (yes, the toilet paper people) have an app available called Sit or Squat. They want to make sure that when it’s time to “go” that you know where the closest public restroom is.
Hope this is a help for all of you who will be out shopping on Friday! Just remember to look around online before heading out to make sure you really are getting the best deals. Stay safe, please don’t trample anyone.
Happy Thanksgiving from Eberly Systems!
